DIRECT FROM CHATEL SATURDAY AFTERNOON.

WE'RE HERE!

Brilliant flight, excellent hotel and we have already completed our first day's skiing!

So far everything going great. Weather spectacular and all happy.

Children (and staff) gorging on wonderful food and all staying busy.

Will try to keep you posted on this site via the SKI COURSE 2006 page.

You wouldn't believe how well the children can ALL ski after only a couple of hours on the slopes!

Another year! Back to school for a term which traditionally holds the greatest potential for great progress and improvement.

Plenty of fun along the way hopefully for all with the beginning of February seeing 31 Year 6 pupils hitting the slopes of Chatel in the French Alps. Catch up on the preparations and live news whilst they are there by following the link to the right "Ski Course 2006".
Some interesting links here will show you lots of information.

Dick Whittington is the attraction at Theatr Clwyd this year and we will visit on Thursday 19th January for a matinee performance - just reward for the hard work all our children put into their Christmas productions this year.

As at any time - if there is anything you need to know or anything we can do to help you or your child to be happier with life at Frongoch - just ASK!

Congratulations to Simeon Crossley of Year 6 who won MP Chris Ruane's Christmas Card Competition this year.

A beautiful card depicting a simple African Christmas won for Simeon a digital camera and first class travel for four members of his family anywhere in Britain by rail. He also won for the school, £750 to be spent on art equipment. Thank you Simeon!

Chris Ruane said of the card, "In a year following the Tsunami Disaster and the health problems in Africa, this card was particularly appropriate. The art work was stunning and Simeon was a very worthy winner."

Congratulations to the staff of Ysgol Frongoch on being awarded the Basic Skills Quality Mark. This gives the community the reassurance that standards at Frongoch remain high, particularly in the fields of literacy and numeracy.

Tickets have all been issued and there are definitely NO seats available.

There is a FULL HOUSE for both evening performances and no entry without a ticket.

Over 450 croissants were sold last Wednesday morning at our French Breakfast or Dejeuner.

170 Year 7 pupils arrived from Denbigh High School to both eat and view the now, locally infamous, Facteur -X! Bodfari and Esgob Morgan primary schools were also present.

It was great to wish a warm bienvenue to Nicole at Frongoch. Nicole joins us from Bordeaux and will assist us in a variety of ways until Christmas whilst improving her English and helping us with our French!

Well done Class 7 for a great morning's entertainment. Thanks to all Year 6 for being superb shopkeepers. The boulangerie at Frongoch was a great success!

Grace a la motivation des eleves de la classe 6, le petit dejeuner francais fut une reussite. Ils ont vendus pres de 450 croissants ce matin la, futurs commercants?
Denbigh High School etait aussi presente avec les eleves de la classe 7, qui ont eux aussi petit-dejeune a la francaise.
Pour clore cette matinee, nous avons eu droit a un superbe spectacle de la part des eleves de la classe 6, le theme: "Facteur-X" , version francaise! Les eleves ont pu montrer leurs talents de comedien et pratiquer la langue francaise, bonne humeur et rigolade garantie!
Merci a tous les eleves et toutes les personnes qui ont contribues a cette reussite.

An excellent competition was held at the third attempt of organising due to poor weather.
A wide representation of schools from small to large was seen amongst the winners. Congratulations to all who took part.

SPONSORED WALK Friday 23rd September Posted Tuesday 27 September 2005 - 10:41:59
Perfect weather conditions prevailed during an excellent day's walk.

The route took in Brookhouse, Ystrad, Kings Mills and Top Road before arriving at Ysgol Heulfre for lunch. A little cooling shower found the entire school picnicking under the shelter of the playground trees!

A return to Frongoch by shortly after one o clock via the Gwyniau woods allowed the children a well deserved restful afternoon before home time.

A big thank you to all parent and grand parent helpers who accompanied the walk.

The school looks forward now to receiving the hard earned sponsorship.

Well done children for a brilliant effort!
