Welsh 3000ers Challenge

Mr Stott is planning to attempt the Welsh 3000ers Challenge in July. This invloves summiting the peaks of each of the Welsh mountains over 3000 feet high within 24 hours. This is being done to raise money for both the 'Friends of Brondyffryn' and 'Help for Heroes' charities. For more information please visit the 'Articles' page.

School was closed today at 1.15 p.m and will be closed again tomorrow - Wednesday 6th January 2010 due to the weather conditions.
We would like to thank all parents for their patience whilst we organised the transport to get their child home safely. All the children eventually managed to leave school, the last four children leaving at 9 p.m.
Whilst waiting for transport the children enjoyed a fish and chip supper from the local chip shop.
We would also like to thank all the staff for staying in school until all children were safely on their way.

Staff and students took part in many activities to raise money for Children in Need. Amongst the hair raising experiences were; Karaoke, spot the ball, an obscure facts quiz about staff and face painting, people were even willing to pay to have their hair styles remodelled by the Van Der Graaf generator in the science lab. At the last count £300 pounds had been raised. Well done everyone and thank you.
